What I wish I knew

What I wish I knew

Here I was, stepping into the whirlwind of figuring things out. Like almost everyone else, I turned to Google—how to manufacture clothes? Where to find clothing manufacturers? I had no idea what the process would look like, but I wasn’t too worried. I was ready to learn.

But looking back, I realize that learning as I went was only part of the equation. What would have made the journey smoother was having an end in mind—a clear vision of what I wanted to create and how I wanted my brand to stand out. It’s not just about production and logistics; it’s about knowing the purpose behind your designs, the audience you want to reach, and the experience you want to deliver.

Instead of just asking how to manufacture clothes, I should have been asking:

– What makes my brand unique?

– What kind of products do I want to create?
– Who is my target audience, and what do they value?

– What’s the long-term vision for my brand?

Without clarity, it’s easy to get lost—distracted by trends, overwhelmed by choices, or stuck in decision paralysis. But when you have a clear direction, every decision, from choosing manufacturers to finalizing designs, becomes more intentional.

Now, with Form and Fold Agency, I want to help others avoid the same pitfalls. If you’re looking for guidance on starting or refining your fashion brand, let’s chat!
